After over 30 years of teaching on 4 different continents, Sandra founded TSRL to enhance student access to essential skills, strategies, attitudes, and beliefs needed for students to become self-regulated learners in challenging academic programmes. Sandra also provides guidance for schools and families seeking neurodiversity support. Her research in the field of self-regulated learning has been published and is required reading in the International and Comparative Education MA programme at King's College, London.

With a strong background in English Language and Literature education and curriculum design, I’m passionate about creating engaging, impactful learning experiences. Beth spent a decade and a half teaching and researching across both British and international education systems, incorporating the IB, GCSE, and A Level. She is a graduate of Christ’s College, Cambridge, with a Master’s in English Studies, and recently completed a Doctorate in Education at the University of Sheffield, where her research focused on reflective thinking and its benefits for IB students.

With 28 years of experience in education, Sandra's deep understanding of both learning and linguistics enables her to guide students in adopting effective, immersion-based approaches for contextual learning of vocabulary and grammar, thereby enhancing their language proficiency. Sandra provides online tutoring for Portuguese (her mother tongue), German, and Spanish, and she is adept at working with language learners from various backgrounds, ages, and abilities.

Helen is a committed and zealous educator with over 20 years of experience in International and British education, including IB, IGSCE, A – levels and GCSE. I have a BA Honours Degree in Dramatic Art from AFDA (The African School for the Creative Economy), a Master of Fine Arts in Cultural Aesthetics from the University of London, am an IB Workshop Leader, Examiner and Teacher trainer. Helen's career has taken me across the globe working with the International Baccalaureate Organisation and the International Schools Theatre Association, leading workshops and facilitating training in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.

Lauren is a committed and passionate IBDP and Advanced Placement History and Government teacher who has taught in state and independent schools for over 20 years, with additional experience leading professional development workshops at the campus and district level. She also has experience as Athletics Director and have developed successful athletics programmes in two different independent schools. Lauren understands there is no 'one size fits all' approach to either learning or sporting success; it is the 'grappling' that leads to deep understanding and excellent performance, so she encourages her students and athletes to embrace the challenge!

Pamela is a dedicated school counsellor with over 10 years of experience and a background in adolescent mental health, including three years in an in-patient hospital setting. She has a deep understanding of adolescent brain development, human behavior, and social dynamics. Passionate about student well-being, she helps young people build resilience, develop coping strategies, and navigate challenges. In addition to her counselling work, Pamela equips students with essential tools for emotional regulation, communication, and decision-making to support their personal and academic growth.

Sarah Filler completed her coach training at Human Better EDU with a desire to help people of all ages realize that they can design the lives they want to lead, regardless of the obstacles in front of them. Her coaching method begins with action, building a foundation of aligning actions with words, leading to trust and belief in the self - empowering each individual to be in the driver’s seat of their own life. She encourages her clients to dream big, helps them expand their capacity, and celebrate the wins, small and large. Sarah believes that you cannot change anything until you change something, and has seen time and again how acting your way into thinking differently works, using a formula that keeps you accountable and committed, without needing to make big sweeping changes or overhauling your entire life. Sarah has worked with children and young adults with autism doing equine therapy, She works with Human Better EDU in the Empowering Emerging Scientists class at Stanford University, in addition to her one-on-one coaching.

Her extensive experience in the classroom has also shaped her as a curriculum innovator—she crafts pedagogical content with flair, clarity, and purpose, blending best practices with a spark of originality.
