Our teaching philosophy is centred around self-regulated learning. We believe that the effective, strategic, evidence-based approach needed for high achievement is teachable and learnable.

For tutoring, we charge £120/hr for lessons and an additional £120 for the set-up of students' e-Portfolios; it is also possible to organise bundles of 5 lessons for £500 per 5-lesson bundle (initial bundles will include 4 lessons and the development of the e-Portfolio for £500). 

For college counselling and educational consulting we charge £150/hr. For consulting and college counselling likely to require multiple meetings or the writing of reports or plans, it is possible to agree an all-inclusive package and fee with the consultant or counsellor.

For continuing professional or programme development, we charge £3000 for a half-day and £5000 for a whole day.

We understand that plans can change and sometimes it will be necessary to reschedule an appointment. We are very happy to reschedule lessons but require advance notice of 24 hours, except in exceptional circumstances. If needed, with advance notice of 48 hours we can also cancel an appointment and offer a refund, but in our experience this would be a rare occasion.

Our tutoring sessions typically last one hour, but we can accommodate longer sessions if necessary.

Our tutoring sessions are typically offered online, but it may be possible to arrange in-person lessons with an individual tutor for an additional charge.

We offer A-levels, GCSE, IB Diploma Programme, Advanced Placement (AP), and university level tutoring in all subject groups: English (A&B), Maths, the Sciences, World Languages, the Arts, and Humanities; we also offer study skills tutoring.

We work primarily with secondary and university aged students, but it may be possible for us to work with younger students in some cases. Contact us to find out more.

For parents and students, we offer educational consulting; college and university counselling and sports scholarship guidance; life coaching, counselling and educational document translation. For schools and universities, we provide educational consulting and professional and programme development that is underpinned by theories of Self-Regulated Learning and the principles of Universal Design for Learning.

When a student accesses tutoring in more than one subject, or accesses more than one TSRL service, we take a highly collaborative approach. Everyone involved with that student will work together on his or her behalf, sharing information, strategies, and insights to maximise the support we offer. We know of no other educational company that works in this way.

Our educators have significant expertise in the following areas: Universal Design; Reflective Practice; Service Learning; Arts Curriculum Development and Mapping; Student-Centred Pedagogy (Collaborative Learning, Structured Inquiry, Problem-Based Learning; Assessment for Learning); Effective, Ethical Use of AI in the Classroom; and Supporting Neurodiversity in the High-Achieving Classroom. Our workshops integrate theoretical understanding and ability to apply learning to practice, with measurable impact of on student outcomes. We work closely with schools in advance of our workshops to ensure coherence with school Mission, aims, and previous professional development.
